Today I'm going to talk about two things. The Playstation and Hideo Kojima. This guy has created one of the most famous games in the world. But he's a little loony. To start with, he's affiliated with PlayStation and Konami. I'm sure all of your a familiar with the Play Station, or the PS, if you will. When the PS first came out, I was instantly won over. The graphics were amazing, and I would spend hours at a time playing "Spyro the Dragon" and "Crash Bandicoot." Those games were awesome, and eventually the PS1 came out. It was smaller than the original PS, and it was milk white instead of grey. Not only did it play old PS games, but it came out with newer games, more mature games like "Metal Gear Solid" and "Syphon Filter". This is where Konami comes in. They were making games back when the Atari was sweet. But anyways, Hideo Kojima created Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 back in 1995. THIS GAME WAS THE STRANGEST, MOST REALISTIC GAME FOR THE PS1. And everybody loved it. Sure, it had a strange storyline (one clone brother code-named "Solid Snake" has to kill his brother who is using a terrorist weapon called "Metal Gear", a bipedal weapon. Oh, and I forgot to mention his brother's name was "Liquid Snake"), but the graphics were cool and the game-play was really cool, but came as a little surprise. Like at the beginning of the game when you have to enter a warehouse while it's snowing, and if your standing instead of crawling guards will see your footprints. Or when you have to use your cigarette to see lasers so you can bypass a tunnel to proceed through the game. I know, pretty cool for the PS1. But the thing that really messed with people's head were the plot twists. Like when "Greyfox" cuts off "Ocelots" arm, and in the second game he replaces it with one of "Liquids" arms, and "Liquid" takes over his mind. The game is really strange, but millions of people (I'm not even kidding) became fans of the game. And even though I own an Xbox-360, I love the series from my old PS2 days. But here's the problem for fans of MGS who have and Xbox-360. MGS4, the coolest PS3 game ever, is exclusive for PS3. That's it. Done. Brown bread. No "Old Snake" for 360. THAT MAKES ME SO MAD!!!! Whether it's Hideo Kojima's fault, Konami or PS3, I have one thing to say. Don't be so darn selfish. Because if the game came out for the Xbox 360, tons of people would buy it. Even people who think the games called "Solid Snake" instead of "Metal Gear Solid."
(p.s, I have tips for PS3 and Wii games too.)

Your last 2 postings have just been complaining about the games that are exclusive for the PS3. If you care so much just buy a PS3 your logic when it comes to this is strange.
ReplyDeleteI preferred your first posts when you talked about the recent games and I think that your blog would be better if you went back to that.
And one other thing, who is Hideo Kojima?
ReplyDeleteHideo Kojima is the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series. He's cool also because he's japanese. I will get back to talking about games, but for now I will have to say this. Shut up Ben, PS3 is expensive.
