Games On Better Consoles

Today, I'm going to be thinking wishfully. If this DID happen I would be pleased, but right now this is just for my posting deadline. I'm going to be talking about which console exclusive games I want to see on other platforms. To kick this off, I want to talk about Peter Molyneux's latest title, "Fable II," an "Xbox 360" exclusive. The first game was also exclusive to the "Xbox," and I guess I should start there.
It came out sometime in 2005 (I think), and was loved from the day it was released. The graphics were good, the gameplay was amazing, controls were fluent and the storyline amazing. The only bad thing about the game (at least I think) was the fact that Mr. Molyneux didn't make the game live up to it's hype. They said there would be Co-op, for one.
Actually, I'm not really sure what some of the things were that he promised, at the time I only played "Playstation 2." It was later on (three years ago I believe) that I bought an "Xbox" and played Fable. I think the game was awesome, and so did everyone else. They later came out with "Fable: Lost Chapters" also for the "Xbox" and the "PC," and it became a Platinum game. But then they realized that they needed to make a "Fable II," and with what better console than the "Xbox 360".
I think they also released it for the "PC," but I don't play "PC" games (except "World Of Warcraft" and "Diablo"). So anyways, the game took about two years to develop, and when it was released it lived up to its height. The game had new features, a new storyline, and pretty much a new world. Its set five hundred years after the first game, and features new areas and new weapons, including guns to replace bows. They changed the control to a simple tap of a button for the otherwise hard to use magic, and they even added a Dog to help you.
I must say that this Dog is an amazing piece of work, and is controlled by the game itself, not you. The thing has good AI as well, better than most games AI ("Halo 3", just kidding). They also added new features, such as making babies and being a woman, which you couldn't do in the first game. One thing that failed with this game, was the Co-op. It was only available with
"Xbox -Live," and it sucked anyways because the character would act as a henchman, and unless you were careful he could be allowed to ruin your world by murdering your wife or children when your not around.
Anyways, the game is epic and is now Platinum, which is why I want to share it with other people. If it was on the "PS3," it would have better graphics, and it would probably have some new stuff added to it. If it was on the "Wii," it would be ruined with bad graphics and choppy graphics. Oh well, you win some you lose some. In another post I'm going to talk about "Infamous," and in another I'm going to talk about "No More Heroes."
Remember to ask for game tips and whatnot.

  1. hey, just want to say that fable (the original) had alot more issues then lack of co-op, the game was actually not loved by everyone either, infact, though it was great, many people denied simply because it didn't have what was promised. It was supposed to be more then fable 2, you were supposed to have kids already, and those kids would run up to you and cheer. Even strangers were supposed to follow yo and beg you for an autograph, or, if you were evil, run and hide. You were also supposed to get an acorn and use it to plant a tree, then that tree would grow and you could write your name in the bark. That and the story was also flamed as many thought it was far to short to be any good. Also fable was supposed to have a feature so that you could burn a forest, and woul stay that way for years in the game. In the end you couldn't even burn it to start. Many were also dissapointed by fable2 because it was supposed to have a big deep social system, where you could go on dates and watch the sunset. You were supposed to actually build a relainship with them and feel a connection. Although, the one thing that was right, was the dog.

  2. Okay cam, here's the deal. I don't spend hours at a time nitpicking the hell out of a game, ruining it for myself. Also, I don't totally blame someones comment. Don't be a hater.

  3. You said that this would be about games on better consoles but you just talked about them on the same console...I don't get it.

  4. Never mind, it was a dumb gimmick anyways. I'll be doing my normal posts from now on.
